Who are Explorers?

Explorers is the Scout section for young people aged 14-18. We offer a varied programme with a big focus on skills for life such as

teamwork and leadership as well as outdoor activities.  Local Scouting is run entirely by volunteers.  We have a great team in Milngavie and can offer Duke of Edinburgh's Award as well as the top Scouting Awards. 

What do Explorers do?

You'll take part in different games, activities and challenges to build your skills and achieve awards and badges. 

When can my child join Explorers?

There are three main sessions within the Scouting year:

• September until Christmas

• January until Easter

• After Easter break until schools close for the summer

Are you looking for volunteers?

All of our leaders are trained volunteers, working to make sure Scouts is safe and open to all. Some volunteer every week while others occasionally help to run a session or drop in to share their skills. No matter how much time you have to spare, we welcome  new volunteers.  Find out more about volunteering opportunities.
